Does anyone hunt wild game?? New wild game hunter?

Ok please dont think I am dumb but I am new to the whole hunting thing. I was told and I m not sure if it was just to scare me or what but if a woman has her period that she shouldnt go deer hunting. Is there any truth to that??
I realize that some people dont like hunting and if you are one of those people thats your choice. I think alot of people dont realize that if we dont help get rid of some of the wild game they will kill them selves off by illness and loss of habitat. When we hunt we eat what we kill and we donate the sheds to a local person who reuses them. So please before you start judege me for hunting think about if we didnt.

Deer do have a great sense of smell. But let me tell you, they will be “spooked” more by the following list of smells…

shave cream
deodorant
aftershave
cologne
shampoo
conditioner
laundry detergent (left from washing)
fabric softner (left from washing)
shoe polish
waterproofing agents
plastic smells
body odor

I could probably go on and on. The thing is, deer are only going to smell you if you are upwind from them (wind or breeze blowing in their direction). Even then, it is possible that the other natural smells around them in the forest may mask your scent just fine.
